Hogan Assessment Systems announces the release of the Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory (HBRI), a cognitive assessment measure that identifies decision-making style in a business environment and predicts occupational performance.

Based on evolutionary psychology and psychometric research, the HBRI assesses two kinds of problem solving—tactical and strategic reasoning. Tactical reasoning is the ability to solve problems and reach sensible conclusions once facts are known. Strategic reasoning concerns the ability to evaluate business practices from a long-term perspective.

Developed and validated exclusively on working adults, the HBRI is useful for both employee selection and development.
